Which is the Better Steam Mop?

Feature Comparisons

Water Tank - The Haan's water tank is just under 12 ounces.  The Eureka Enviro Steamer has a 20 ounce tank. 

Price - The Haan Steam Mop typically retails for about 20-30% more than the Eureka Enviro Steamer.

Mop Head Features - The Eureka has a swivel head and a removable handle.  The Haan offers the option of buying a deluxe santizing tray with your mop which can be used to sanitize carpets, rugs, upholestry, and other fabrics.  Some people use it to sanitize bedding and mattresses.  The Haan also has a removable handle. 

Steam Action - Both steam mops produce good amounts of evenly distributed steam and get hot enough to sanitize the surfaces that they come into contact with.

Weight - The Eureka Enviro Steamer weighs about 5 1/2 pounds while the Haan is just over 3 pounds.

Build - Eureka wins rave reviews for it's sturdy build.  There were however some complaints that the Haan was a little on the flimsy side although I haven't read of any major issues with it breaking.

Pads - Both steam mops come with two mop pads.  The Eureka Enviro Steamer's pads are a waffle textured pad which clips on to the machine.  The Haan Steam Mop has microfiber pads that velcro to the unit.

Consumer Reviews - Both steam mops have plenty of positive reviews from customers.  Common complaints about the Haan were that it's handle was too short, the water tank was too small, and that it's design is a little flimsy.  The only complaints about the Eureka I saw were that some people had problems with it leaving too much water on the floor although I have never personally experienced this with mine.

Comparison Wrap Up - Which is the Better Steam Mop?

Both the Eureka Enviro Steamer and the Haan Steam Mop received a lot of high ratings from customers.  I really don't think you can go wrong with either mop. 

While the Eureka is typically less expensive than the Haan and has a sturdier design, the Haan offers the option of buying it with the Deluxe Santizing Tray which is great if you want to santize your carpet, furniture, and other fabrics. 

If you don't plan to sanitize your carpets and other fabric surfaces, I suggest you save yourself some money and go with the Eureka Enviro Steamer.
